Why Proptrest Exists
I spent 25 years in financial services — 20 of those at Lloyds Bank — advising people on the biggest financial decisions they'd ever make. I also worked alongside an institutional landlord, so I've seen the property world from the inside.
What I kept noticing was this: people selling their homes were getting a pretty raw deal. Agents who overpromise to win instructions. Valuations plucked from thin air. Updates that never come. It bothered me.
So I started Proptrest. Not to build an empire — to do things properly.
You deal with me. I answer my phone. If I say I'll call you Tuesday, I call you Tuesday. That sounds basic, but ask anyone who's sold a house recently how often their agent actually did what they said they would.
My banking background means I'm comfortable with numbers and data — so when I value your property, it's based on actual comparable sales, not guesswork or flattery. But I also know that selling a home isn't just a spreadsheet exercise. It's personal, it's stressful, and you deserve someone who gets that.
